Tom Latham

Tom LathamTom grew up listening to motown, northern soul and 80s R&B, giving Tom an early sense of feel and groove.

After school Tom enrolled on a music course at his local college, gaining valuable playing and recording experience under the tutelage of Ray Fenwick (Spencer Davis Group / Ian Gillan).

In Search of greater discipline Tom moved to London to study at the Bass Institute picking up gigs with various song writers and function bands.

Completion of his study at the Bass Institute led Tom to pro blues band 'The Melt'. Whilst with The Melt Tom recorded one album (receiving much critical acclaim and national air play – Jazz Fm) and toured the UK extensively.

It was through his work with The Melt that Tom met his next band leader 'Sean Webster'. After two years with The Melt Sean’s take on the blues was an attractive proposition.

Four months after Tom joined, Sean was signed to the UK's Largest Blues label Blues Matters. Tom has recorded two albums with Sean. The first album 'If Only' has been given national and international air play, whilst the second (an acoustic album showcasing a collection of Sean's self penned songs and some hand picked covers) was released as a double CD with a contrasting live disk in January 2007.

Tom has also toured the UK and Europe including many major festivals, Played live sessions for radio including BBC Radio2's Blues Show.
