I just love She's Automatic. It that an original, or who wrote/performed it before? Tried to google it and all I get is The Rancids or The Amsterdams - not the same song at all!

To reply to my own post - dun some researchin' - Automatic is a song attributed to Willie Love, although there seems to be no recording of him performing it (unless someone can enlighten me!). He was a piano player who died in the the early 50s , who worked with the legendary Sonny Boy Williamson II. The only recordings I've found is by a West-Coast band, The Red Devils, where Lester Butler plays a mean harp! A couple of other covers by little-known blues tribute bands, also. Strange that SBWII never recorded it, since he was a mean harp player! I must admit - and I'm biased here - Sean Webster's guitar-based version (and FANTASTIC voice!) is the best rendition I've heard so far! He does the song so much credit! Don't know whether he based it on The Red Devils' version, or the original, but I think Sean gives this song so much life. I'd love to hear other versions, if anyone can help me in this. Sean, since seeing you last Saturday in bog-land (Lincolnshire!) I'm now a big convert to your music - big style!
